Oh this has made me a very happy girl, I’m now going to trawl for a more HD version. **UPDATE** Here is the HD Version - and congrats to Gillian on her pregnancy!
The new international X-Files trailer - enjoy!

The trailer for X-Files will hit the offical site on Monday, May 12th 12:01 AM. Hopefully it’ll be a new one and not the ones that have been leaked on YouTube. I still can’t believe that I forgot it was coming out when I was planning my holiday to Canada ::SOB::…

Ah screw it, I’m getting excited about this movie (Geek Mum and proud!). The new movie is going to be called….
X-Files: I Want to Believe
Bit of a crap title, but having read this excellent interview today on Shocktillyoudrop.com , I’m a lot more psyched about the movie. I’m still in shock to realise the series first started 15 years ago, I’m going to have to start lying about my age soon!
But I just made this on elitemrp.net and it made me laugh….seriously I do need to get a job!

Nice to see the URL again, it’s been a while
Now can they get that bloody trailer up please?

Please 20th Century Fox can we have the *actual* trailer and stop relying on bootlegs….looks good though
*update* YouTube withdrew the trailer (the bastards!) But you can still get it here

W00T! Some fabulous publicity pictures have just turned up on ComingSoon.net of Mulder and Scully (who I have to say are both looking fabulous!). Nice to see the original look but updated, I’m glad they didn’t give Gillian that awful red bob back - phew!
Check the pictures here

Okay I’ve noticed that I seem to be getting a lot of traffic from Google re the new X-files Movie.
So here’s a quick round up of what I’ve seen in the last few days on the web:
It’s probably called ‘Done One’ on the entry for the BC Filming List this is the entry for current filming:

There is an ebay auction to win a trip to the set

Geek husband however won’t give me 6k so I can win the auction though - meanie!!! ![]()

I can only blame the lack of Dr Who, Torchwood & BSG, for my falling back in love with the X-Files. Anyway for those who are interested, here’s a good article about Darin Morgan who wrote some of the best X-File episodes and who hopefully has had something to do with the new film. Check it here

About bloody time!!!
The second X-Files Film starts filming in December. Read the article here
I can’t find the original article on Comingsoon.net though, so it could still be a load of crap? However and I never thought I’d be saying this I really hope the filming doesn’t mess up the shooting of Californication, which I absolutely adore. David Duchovny has finally managed to shake off Mulder with Hank, and I think I prefer Hank…I must be getting old
**UPDATE** it’s official they are filming in Vancouver (the spiritual home of the X-Files) starting 20th December. Here’s an article that one of my friends sent me and an old school picture for fellow Philes
The long-awaited second “X-Files” film is finally a go, with 20th Century Fox setting a July 25, 2008 release date.Untitled project reunites “X-Files” creator Chris Carter with thesps David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, who will reprise their signature roles as FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully.
Carter begins lensing in December in Vancouver from a script he co-wrote with Frank Spotnitz, a veteran scribe of the long-running “X-Files” television series, which became a worldwide hit in its 1993-2002 run on the Fox network. Spotnitz also co-wrote with Carter the screenplay for 1998 feature “X-Files.”
Studio is keeping the film’s logline under wraps, but stressed the pic is a stand-alone story and supernatural thriller that takes the complicated relationship between Mulder and Scully in new directions.
As of now, there are only two other titles skedded for July 25, both comedies. Sony unspools Will Ferrell-John C. Reilly starrer “Step Brothers,” directed by Adam McKay, while MGM has bows untitled Ice Cube family laffer.
Bringing the “X-Files.” sequel to the bigscreen was waylaid when Chris Carter brought a 2005 lawsuit against Fox over how the “X-Files” syndication profits were divvied up. Suit was later settled.
Earlier this year, the issue seemed to have been resolved, with Duchovny and Anderson both indicating the that the film was finally forward.
Released in 1998, feature film “The X-Files” grossed $187 million worldwide, including a domestic haul of $83.9 million and an international cume of more than $103 million.

Okay I *loved* the X-Files and was a fully paid up ’shipper. In fact had it not been for the first 13 episodes of series one, I wouldn’t have learnt about the’new’ technology of the internet (in Unix no less!). I wouldn’t therefore have fallen in love with Vancouver, had a career in IT, met my husband (fellow techie) and some of my closest friends.
So as you can imagine I’m getting a little excieted about mutterings of a new movie. Series 8 or 9 whatever the hell it finished on I didn’t even bother watching, I was so disappointed with the direction it had taken. I did think that it should have finished after series 6, so in my head that’s where it ended
Gillian Anderson it being a coy about a new movie, but it’s nice to see her standing up for herself on her site. She’s done a ton of other really brilliant work since the series finished and all they ask her about it Scully - it must drive her mad!.
Frank Spotnitz (writer, producer, genius) - has confirmed that there is a script underway
Here’s a picture from back in the day to cheer up all my lady friends
I’ll be interested to see how and if they can bring the characters back to form, hopefully other people will still be interested?.
