I’m not a Microsoft hater (I’ve made a very good living the last 10 years out of their software quirks!) but I don’t think I want a phone driven by the win mobile platform In fairness I’m judging it by the performance of my Simbian Nokia N73 which was frankly bloody awful. Whenever it rang it bluescreened, despite numerous software updates. The Touch Diamond isn’t as pretty as the iPhone, but few things are ;) I’m looking forward to seeing what it’s like when it lands in stores.
Here is a good article about the new Touch Diamond

So I’ve been having a look at my stats and they are hilarious! Here are some of the search terms that have found my blog:
“i feed my husband dog poo” - I SWEAR to god I never have…tempted perhaps..but no
“eat her” - don’t think I want to go there!
“betty poo” - yes she is!
“david tennant teeth” - are very nice!
“carrots” - I’m sure there are lots of other blogs that can deal with this
“betty boob” - she’s got some lovely ones
“Poo Slave’ - please don’t come back
“Friends Mum in Leather” - seriously don’t come back!!!
“cu” - don’t want to know where that typing was going……
It’s great reading, I really must get a better analytics package on this account!

I’m heartbroken, in the last two days Betty has tried to attack me twice. She had done something similar about 6 weeks ago but I thought it was an over excited one off. Lily and I had been playing in the garden and I thought she was a little over hyper.
But yesterday she did it when I was in the garden with her. I’d been gardening and she’d been my little helper, I went to go up the garden to dump some compost and she went nuts. Jumping, bared teeth, snapping and trying to bite me. There was no reason for it, she just became uncontrolable.
Tonight we’d been in the garden again, Lily scooting up and down. Betty pretty much ignoring us lying under the bench and eating grass, in between chasing a ball. All very chilled and calm. After about an hour, I decided it was time to come in as it was getting cold. I held onto Betty, told her to sit and stay while Lily came in on her own (just to be on the safe side). Once she was in, I let Betty go and said ‘into the house’ and she went mad, snapping, biting, jumping up, I really thought that she was going to hurt me
In the end I jumped onto the picnic bench to get away from her and she followed, and seemed to calm down. So after about 5 minutes I thought it was safe to try and get in, as soon as I got down she did it again, it bloody terrified me!! In the end I took the bites and held onto her collar, and got inside. She’s now locked in the kitchen and I’m to scared to go in. She looks ok, and she’s not barking but I’m still shaking.
I contacted a dog behaviorist yesterday but she’s not gotten back to me, I don’t know what to do? I can’t keep her if she’s going to do this, if she attacked Lily I’d never forgive myself. And I don’t like being scared of my own dog, but she wasn’t in control of herself and I can’t trust her So I really don’t know what to do

Honestly what is wrong with the support staff at Blogger? Angie Smith has been writing very movingly on her blog ‘Bring the Rain’ about the struggle she and her family have had since finding out their daughter Audrey Caroline would be born with terminal birth defects. Audrey was born on the 9th April and died 2 hours after birth having met her family.
Angie and her family have been through the unthinkable and have shown great strength and grace since they found out their daughter’s limited life expectancy. No parent should ever have to deal with this and I can’t imagine how they have got through this.
I just popped over there to see how they are doing and found the following message:
>>I just want to let you all know that Blogger has identified my blog as a potential “spam blog” because of the number of viewers (I don’t really understand this), and they have frozen it until someone has a chance to review it and determine that it is not. You can leave comments, but I can’t post
During this week in particular, I have really needed my prayer warriors, but it won’t let me update anything until they check it out (they told me it would be about 4 business days). I will write as soon as it will let me…please pray that will be soon! Thanks, Angie<<
WHAT THE HELL ARE BLOGGER PLAYING AT?!?!?!?! The woman has just lost her daughter, she doesn’t need this kind of rubbish. I’m irate at the way they are treating this, 4 days…..it takes two seconds to log onto the blog and see that there is no spam there and no harm. If they don’t want to host it because of the bandwidth then let Angie know, and I’m sure that lots of other people will in fact I’ll be first in the queue!!.
Blogger you should be ashamed at your actions and you should rectify this situation asap - it’s just disgusting.
***UPDATE Angie has her site back - hurrah!******

Since I moved to my Mac I’ve been a little disappointed with my internet browers. Safari is ok (but nothing special) and Firefox which was awesome a release ago has sucked since I upgraded to version 2. It crashed on a regular basis, literally every 10 minutes and was as slow as hell. It got to the point I was mourning the loss of IE7 despite my husband’s hatred of it (web geek moans about rendering from him!) but at least it worked!!
But yesterday my prayers were answered and I downloaded the new shiny Firefox 3 beta (frankly I thought it couldn’t be worse than what I was using!) It’s wonderful, fast, doesn’t crash, rendering is better with fonts and it’s easy on the eye. Much improved - thanks Mozilla! :) Download it here

Ah screw it, I’m getting excited about this movie (Geek Mum and proud!). The new movie is going to be called….
X-Files: I Want to Believe
Bit of a crap title, but having read this excellent interview today on Shocktillyoudrop.com , I’m a lot more psyched about the movie. I’m still in shock to realise the series first started 15 years ago, I’m going to have to start lying about my age soon!
But I just made this on elitemrp.net and it made me laugh….seriously I do need to get a job!

I think I’ve had a play at somepoint with just about every online photo editing product there is. But I’ve got a new favourite Picnik. It’s really simple and free to use, apart from the usual tools you can also add a nice choice of frames or text and even whiten your teeth :). For basic blogging or just messing around with photos it’s great. It can link in with your Flickr, Myspace, Picasca accounts and you can just grab photos from there.
Here’s a picture I literally knocked up in a minute

Geek Husband was just looking over my shoulder and asked ‘is that a web app?’ in a disbelieving tone - thus proving it’s good
The people behind it are incredibly talented looking at their About Us page, so I’m not surprised it’s so good. I wish them the best of luck!
Geek Mum approved!!
